2024 Mini World Cup
DATE: Saturday, June 15
TIME: 9:30am - 3:30pm, CHECK-IN @ 9:00am
LOCATION: Mazzocchi Park, Fruitvale, BC
Lunch will be provided - hot dogs, granola bars, fruit. Please be sure to list any dietary restrictions, during registration!
Registration closes on Wednesday, June 12 @ 5:00pm, unless we meet our maximum enrolment before then. Please register immediately to avoid disappointment! Teams and schedules will be shared Thursday, June 13.
Players registering for the Mini World Cup must be current 2024 KSYSA members and, as a result, covered by BC Soccer insurance.
Fees of $40/player are due at time of registration! These fees cover player shirts, prizes, referees, and event rentals.
Teams will represent individual countries. Each country's points are tallied and added to continents. The continent with the most points will be declared tournament champions! This is based off of wins, losses and ties - not off of goals scored. This is a friendly tournament. Please remind players to have fun and not try to rack up goals. If you have a hot goalscorer please encourage them to try for assists.
Teams must consist of 5-7 players, a coach, and a parent volunteer (manager).
U8s will play 4v4, no goalkeeper | U10s will play 4v4, including goalkeeper
*In order to facilitate girls only U10 teams, we must have a minimum of 4 teams register. These teams will be added as individual countries to one of the 3 continents and points will be tallied with the continent totals. Sorry, but we can not accomodate girls only U8 teams.
Team registrations are encouraged, however, we will accept and accommodate registrations for individual players. Event organizers may add individual players to registered teams, at their discretion. Designated coaches/parent volunteers should be the ones registering their teams. Individuals must be registered by their parents (parents, you will need to list yourself as the coach and manager/parent volunteer).
